The Design and Production Unit of the Summer Internship Training Program, which started on July 5, 2021 and was planned to continue until today, has been completed. The Summer Internship Training Program, where more than 300 applications were received and evaluations were made separately for the Materials Unit and the Design and Production Unit within ALUTEAM, gave a total of 17 graduates in the 2021 term.
The students included in the Design and Production Team were divided into 2 teams. It was ensured that both teams spent 2 days a week in the laboratories and participated in the digital lessons on a common day. The participants, who had the opportunity to be in the production and design stages under the supervision of the relevant expert team, gained basic knowledge on the topics of Metal and Plastic Additive Manufacturing.
Within the scope of the training package, maintenance operations for metal and plastic production, machinery and equipment, production preparation, production release, part removal, part cleaning, sandblasting operations, as well as Netfabb: interface, commands, part placement, Magics: interface, commands, part placement, support structures, DMLS design and manufacturing criteria, design for Additive Manufacturing, Biomimicry and Topology.

A closing program was organized as part of the program on Friday, September 3, 2021. ALUTEAM Director Dr. Ebubekir Koç, Researcher Engineer Msc. Mert Coşkun, Research Engineer Msc. M. Enes Bulduk, Production Technician Tunahan Tez, İntern Engineer Mert Durdağı, ALUTEAM Administrative Supervisor Savaş Önder, Laboratory Coordinator Gürkan Tarakçı participated. Relevant feedbacks were graded at the meeting, where the period evaluation was also made. At the end of the organization, certificates were presented to the participants.
