“Energy Management in Industry Sector” seminar was held with the cooperation of our University and GALSİAD (Entrepreneurial Aluminium and Industrialists Businessmen Association) and the support of Istanbul Development Agency, within the scope of the seminar series "Energy Efficiency in Aluminium Manufacturing Plants and Reducing Greenhouse Gases Project" carried out in our Aluminium Testing Education and Research Center, on Friday, February 13, 2015.
The seminar, which was presented by Schneider Electric Energy Management Expert Mahmut Dede, focused on why energy management, what kind of energy management, energy efficiency applications in the aluminum industry and the role of the consultant in energy management.
Defining energy management as “knowing how to manage energy use”, Mahmut Dede stated that financial reasons, compliance with legal obligations and corporate image and internal structural results are “three main driving forces” for energy management.
