Defense and Aerospace Cluster Association (SAHA Istanbul) announced the projects that offering the opportunity to lower non-produced jointly produced by Turkish companies in the area of defense and aerospace systems in Turkey, and making Turkey will provide the opportunities to have a strong national economy at 14. International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2019). One of the projects is carried out by FSMVU Aluminum Test Training and Research Center and its partners.
The signing ceremony of the projects, which were decided to receive support from TÜBİTAK SAYEM was held at SAHA İstanbul booth at IDEF 2019. Istanbul FIELD member companies and universities developed cooperation with Turkey's national defense industry will contribute greatly to 6 signing ceremony of the protocol agreement was made and the ceremony was chaired by the Secretary General of SAHA Istanbul İlhami Keles.
At the ceremony 6 projects were signed and that projects can be listed as “Laser Weapon Systems Development Project”, “HÜRKUŞ Aircraft Air Conditioning Sub-System Supply Project”, “Improving the Industrial Properties of the Enavısıon Metal Additive Manufacturing Machine and Extending it to the Global Level”, “Roadmap for Measurement, Test and Navigation Control Unit for Autonomous Operation of Unmanned Sea Vehicles (İDA-OTOSEVK)”, “Satellite Communication Systems”, “Production of High Performance Nano Particle Reinforced Composite Material at High Temperatures”.

ALUTEAM Executes One of 6 Projects
The project titled ‘Improving the Industrial Properties of the Enavısıon Metal Additive Manufacturing Machine and Extending it to the Global Level’, which is one of the six projects supported by TÜBİTAK SAYEM, is carried out in cooperation with Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University ALUTEAM, ERMAKSAN, Mayıs Design and TOYOTESU. At the signing ceremony Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University represented by our Rector Prof. Dr. M. Fatih Andı. After the signing ceremony FSMVU Chairman of the Board of Trustees İsmail Gerçek, our Rector Prof. Dr. M. Fatih Andı and ALUTEAM Director Dr. Ebubekir Koç met with representatives of the sector by performing stand visits.
International Cooperation Protocols Were Signed
SAHA İstanbul Secretary General İlhami Keleş, pointed out that institutions have a great mission with the project agreements signed and said that “With the projects we have signed here, we are trying to produce the sub-systems that we have to take from outside, by combining them with the needs of the companies and nationally.”
In addition to the 6 projects launched at SAHA Istanbul booth, international cooperation protocols were signed. ElectraIC and Key ASIC two of the member of SAHA Istanbul have signed a partnership agreement to work together in the global market in design solutions and marketing.
TTAF Defense Industry and Trade. Inc., in the field of fiber optics technology in the Czech Republic specialize in Optoko the company with expanded beam fiber optic connectors used in the communication box, motor vehicles and Turkey signed a cooperation agreement on the joint production.
IDEF 2019
Hosted by the Ministry of National Defense and under the management and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, IDEF 2019, 14th International Defense Industry Fair, organized by TÜYAP still last on between April 30 - May 3, 2019 at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center.
