ALUTEAM, which is one of the most important research and production centers of our country in the aluminum sector, continues its training activities. The programs organized according to the needs of the sector, in consultation with the experts of the subject, brought together with the university and the business world. The programs which are band together university and business world organized under the topic titles determined in consultation with the experts of the subject according to the needs of the sector. In this context, the last seminar about “Importance of BMU on the Facade” was held in the conference hall of the Aluminum Test Training and Research Center of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University. The seminar presented by Mechanical Engineer Orhan Demirel from Geda Major, attended by representatives of the sector, as well as university students carrying out studies in this field. The seminar which was continued with the answer and question part after the presentation of Mr. Orhan, was an important step for the Aluminum Construction Systems Testing and Training Laboratories (ASTEL) Project carried out 2018 Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA) Innovative and Creative Istanbul Financial Support Program. Also in the seminar Serdar Aktuna from Geda Major Design Department gave brief information about BMU design and calculations.
The topic of the seminar on building maintenance, which emphasizes the importance of BMU (Building Maintenance Unit), is as follows;
- What is facade cleaning and maintenance systems, why is it needed?
- Which stage of the project about the work on BMU (Building Maintenance Unit) systems solutions should begin?
- How many types of BMU are available? Which criteria are used for the type selection?
- Information about facade sockets
- Short information about norms and BMU design criteria
- Explaining the various application examples with video and visuals
