3D printers were produced within the scope of product development activities at our university's Aluminium Test Training and Research Center (ALUTEAM).
In order to create added value in the field of aluminium and to ensure that aluminium meets technology for young people, 3D printers were produced as a result of approximately 4 months of work and 5 prototypes were delivered. Our University Faculty of Engineering Computer Engineering students also took an active part in the product and technology development process. The 3D printer, whose software and design is completely realized in ALUTEAM, is also important for students to gain experience in producing local technologies before entering the sector.
The printer, which is manufactured from aluminum material by ALUTEAM stakeholders within the framework of university-industry cooperation and can be customized; It differs from its counterparts with its outer casing, open source software, Turkish program interface, and a modular design for ease of service.
The product development process will continue with the feedback received from the trials for the 3D printer, which started to be tested in the field with the delivery of prototype products.
