Aluminium Test Training and Research Center (ALUTEAM), which was established with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency in partnership with our University and the Entrepreneurial Aluminium Industrialists and Businessmen Association, and which provides services specifically for the aluminium sector in the project partnership of the Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (IDDMIB), and the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA) ) affiliated with the Steel Exporters Association, MATİL Inc. Steel Testing and Research Center (CETAM), which was established within the body of the company and carries out studies on metal, refractory, ferroalloy and coal, especially steel, opens its infrastructures to common use.
Having many common grounds, ALUTEAM and CETAM will carry out joint research activities with the goal of national and international development of the entire metal industry, especially aluminium and steel industries, with the cooperation agreement signed between the institutions. The infrastructures of the parties will work integrated with each other. In this way, instead of establishing extra infrastructures for similar studies and keeping these infrastructures idle, ALUTEAM and CETAM infrastructures will serve the aluminum and steel industry together with institutional cooperation and the existing potential will be evaluated at the highest level.
This collaboration of research centers established with the support of the Ministry of Development and Istanbul Development Agency is also important for the sustainability of projects. We wish the cooperation of ALUTEAM - CETAM to be beneficial for the whole metal industry.
