Within the scope of the cooperation agreement signed between Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University Aluminium Test Training and Research Center and Turkish Airlines Technical İnc. R&D Department the joint studies continue.
FSMVÜ ALUTEAM and THY Technical jointly developed the lock and hinge systems for the in-cabin luggage unit used in Airbus 320 and Airbus 321 aircraft in the Turkish Airlines fleet. Designs were made for the lock and hinge systems of the in-cabin luggage unit and prototypes of the systems were made in the rapid prototyping laboratory. With the creation of domestic supplier companies for the serial parts to be used in the products whose modeling was completed, the design and production R&D project of the product was finalized and the project was delivered to THY Technical.
