Bringing the aluminum industry together, ALUEXPO Fair was scheduled to be held in two separate halls between 3-5 March at Istanbul Expo Center this year. The 10th International Aluminum Symposium, which was held simultaneously with the fair, continued for two days in two large halls.

Leading companies of the aluminum industry came together at the fair, where ALUTEAM represented our University. ALUTEAM, located in the first hall, participated in the opening ceremony on the first day of the fair. After the opening meeting held with the participation of Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, a short visit program was organized in the fair area. ALUTEAM was one of the stops of Mr. Varank within the scope of these visits. On the last day of the fair, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Hasan Büyükdede visited the area. Within the scope of this visit, Mr. Büyükdede met with our team at the ALUTEAM stand and received information about our activities.

Our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Z. Hakan Akpolat visited our stand on the last day of the fair and met with our team. After the visit, which was held in the form of conversation on new projects and topics on the agenda, a short fair evaluation was made.

Academic studies met with the audience

In the section reserved for poster presentations, scientific studies of our researchers were also exhibited. Our researchers, who completed their poster presentations on the second day of the symposium, took part in various sessions as participants.

On the second day of the event, ALUTEAM Director Dr. In the "Sustainability, Green Reconciliation, Recycling" session chaired by Ebubekir Koç, our Faculty of Engineering faculty member Prof. Dr. Fevzi Yılmaz made a presentation on “New Normal and Border Carbon Regulation”. Yaşar Akça, one of the team researchers, made a presentation at the session titled "New Technology Applications in Aluminum", which was scheduled on the same day. Akça answered the questions of the participants in the program where “A New Model in Sectoral Joint Testing Services: ASTEL- Aluminum Construction Systems Test and Training Laboratory” was discussed.

The organization came to an end with the best wishes for the next fair and symposium events.
