The 8th International Aluminum Technologies, Machinery and Products Specialized Fair (ALUEXPO 2023), held every two years at the Istanbul Expo Center, was held by Hannover-Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık on 12-14 October 2023 this year. The 11th International Aluminum Symposium (ALUS'11), organized simultaneously with the fair that brings the aluminum industry together, will be held on 12-13 October 2023, in cooperation with the Turkish Aluminum Industrialists Association, TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center and TMMOB Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers Training Center. He met with his participants in two separate halls.

ALUTEAM, which was a participant in ALUEXPO representing Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University and a supporting institution in the symposium, hosted its guests for 3 days at its stand number G125. The "ALUTEAM: Joint Research Center for Digital Transformation of the Aluminum Industry" Project, whose activities started this year, was the main topic discussed within the scope of both the fair and the symposium.

Located in the first hall, ALUTEAM met with aluminum industry representatives and held various business meetings within the scope of the fair. ALUTEAM team, which had the opportunity to get together with existing collaborations, also made contacts on potential collaborations. Introducing its services under the headings of testing, training, research and additive manufacturing, ALUTEAM emphasized its contribution to research and development studies in the sessions where it spoke as a speaker with poster presentations and expert opinions within the scope of the symposium.

On the second day of the symposium, Expert Researcher Engineer Yaşar Akça from our team and Dr. Lecturer A presentation was made on the joint work of member Mustafa Akçil, titled "New Generation Aluminum Alloy Elements and Their Effect on the Turkish Aluminum Industry". In the second session of the symposium in the second hall, where 3 different topics were discussed simultaneously under the theme of "Heat Treatment", Dr. Ebubekir Koç chaired the session. Assoc. Prof. representing FSMVU ALUTEAM attended the section where poster presentations of various researchers were included within the scope of the symposium. Dr. Gökhan Özer participated with his work on "Using Hydrogen as Fuel in Aluminum Melting".

The first information day event of the “ALUTEAM: Joint Research Center for Digital Transformation of the Aluminum Industry” Project was held within the scope of ALUS'11.

It is financed within the framework of the financial cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of Turkey and is supported by the Republic of Turkey. ALUTEAM, which started its work within the scope of the dissemination activities of the "ALUTEAM: Joint Research Center for Digital Transformation of the Aluminum Industry" Project carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology under the Competitive Sectors Program, designed its supporting establishment processes mainly on the axis of project studies at the ALUS'11 event with the participation of ALUEXPO fair this year. ALUTEAM, which participated in the session themed "Development and Digital Transformation of the Aluminum Sector" as part of the first information day of the project, made two separate presentations. Center Director Dr. This event, on the last day of the fair, where Ebubekir Koç took the floor, ended with a presentation on the ALUTEAM Project and then with a speech on "Digital Transformation of the Aluminum Industry" by Fraunhofer IAO representative Mehmet Mustafa Kürümlüoğlu, who was the invited speaker of ALUTEAM.
