A seminar on "Workers' Health in the Aluminium Sector and Its Place in Legal Legislations" was held with the presentation of Specialist Workplace Physician Mr. Ali AYDIN within the scope of the training activities organized with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency.
In the seminar, occupational diseases that are likely to be seen in workers in the aluminum industry were explained. Periodic checks that employers should have done for early diagnosis and diagnosis of occupational diseases were mentioned. Simple measures that can be taken to avoid occupational diseases were mentioned. Actions to be taken in case of encountering occupational diseases and afterwards were discussed. The current “Soma disaster” and its implications were mentioned, and employers' obligations were discussed.
Many guests from business and academia attended our seminar, and opinions were exchanged on related issues.
