As Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Aluminum Test Education and Research Center we hosted our visitors at the 18th International Window, Blinds, Facade Systems and Accessories, Profile, Production Technologies and Machines, Insulation Materials, Raw Materials and Complementary Products Fair held at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center on March 8-11, 2017.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Duman, PÜKAD Board Chairman Dr. Muzaffer Tamer and GALSİAD Chairman Celalettin Kırboz participated in the opening program, which was attended by the leading names of the aluminum industry, and chatted with the veterans of the industry and young entrepreneurs.
In the special section of Aluminum, we organized various activities together with the Entrepreneurial Aluminum Industrialists and Businessmen Association. Architect Nevin Güney Tok from Karakalem Mimarlık participated in the panel titled Aluminum Window from Past to Today, while Volkan Terzioğlu from Albond-Sistem Metal and Architect Atilla Çetinkaya from Tuna Yapı participated in the panel titled “New Definitions in Facade Systems” made their presentations on the second day of the fair, At the cocktail held after the panel, the participants exchanged ideas on the subject.
ALUTEAM Manager Asst. Assoc. Dr. Ebubekir Koç made his presentation titled “What Can Be Done in ALUTEAM-Aluminum Sector Partnership?” in the second part of the day. After the presentation, the program continued with the Aluminum panel from Yesterday to Today. At the panel, PÜKAD (Window and Door Sector Association) Chairman of the Board Dr. Muzaffer Tamer, Burak Aluminum Board Member Abdullah Demir and Alfa Metal Chairman Ali Bakaner shared their experiences and sectoral evaluations with the participants. At the end of the panel, Aluminum Loyalty Awards, organized for the second time this year by the Entrepreneur Aluminum Industrialists and Businessmen Association, found their owners with the theme of "Young Entrepreneurs".
Gabriele Macedonio Extrusion Production Systems from Danieli Breda made a presentation under the moderation of Ayhan Atalay from Obal Aluminum on the third day of the fair which means on Friday, 10 March 2017.
In the afternoon, Dr. While Rüştü Bozkurt informed the participants about the New Conditions for Increasing the Added Value in Aluminum, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Engineering Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Fevzi Yılmaz made sectoral evaluations with his presentation of An Overview of Aluminium Industry.
Visitors were informed about the activities of the center at the ALUTEAM booth, possible collaborations and project proposals were evaluated during the four-day fair.
