TÜBİTAK 3501 project entitled "Development of Innovative Shell/Cage Structured Hybrid Material Manufacturing Method with Additive Manufacturing" prepared by Dr. Mevlüt Yunus Kayacan as a executive from  sparta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering Department and Dr. M. Safa Yılmaz as a researcher from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University was entitled to be supported.

Within the scope of the project, in the Selective Laser Melting (SLE) method, one of the "Additive Manufacturing" methods, which is among the priority areas of our country, it is aimed to reduce the current manufacturing time and costs by 40-70% while preserving the mechanical properties of high engineering metals. According to global studies, Additive Manufacturing, which is estimated to grow 7 times in the next 10 years, is expected to gain significant added value in our country thanks to the realization of affordable costs.
